Mesa Verde can be found in the northwest corner of Costa Mesa, California. It is home to approximately 3,000 people and has a total area of four miles. It is easy to commute to other Southern California destinations from Mesa Verde, as it is close to major thoroughfares. Mesa Versa, a quiet suburbia with tree-lined streets and Norman Rockwell-like architecture, is a great example of suburban living.
It is bordered by the Interstate 405 freeway at the north, Harbor Boulevard at the east, Victoria Street at the south, the Santa Ana River at the west, and Victoria Street. Adams Avenue is the community’s northern boundary. It contains Fairview Channel, which is a Santa Ana River tributary connecting to Fairview Park. Fairview Park is a wetland/riparian natural area. Two golf courses are located in the neighborhood: the Costa Mesa Golf Course, and Mesa Verde Country Club.
Mesa Verde, although not the best neighborhood for singles is a great place to raise families. Mesa Verde is not known for its vibrant nightlife or abundant entertainment. However, it does have beautiful parks and plenty of choices for dining and shopping along Harbor Boulevard. The Santa Ana River Trail, in the Costa Mesa area, runs through the neighborhood, and is a 20-minute ride from Huntington Beach. The schools in the neighborhood are average compared to other communities. However, Early College High School, Mesa Verde, is rated one of California’s top educational institutions.
Mesa Verde’s majority of residents are married and have an education that is higher than the national median. The neighborhood layout is not typical, despite the fact that most houses are small and average in size. Costa Mesa’s Mesa Verde area was designed and built with greater attention to aesthetics and design than other parts of Costa Mesa.
The area is characterized by beautiful, curving, tree-lined streets. It has the feel of more wealthy California communities. There are several parks in the neighborhood, including two large ones. A nice community center is also nearby. Two outstanding golf courses can be found, as well as plenty of high-end dining and shopping.
Mesa Verde residents enjoy a dense suburban lifestyle and many of them own their homes. There are many restaurants, coffee shops, parks, and other amenities in Mesa Verde. Mesa Verde is home to many young professionals. Residents tend to be moderate in their political views. Mesa Verde’s public schools are excellent.
In the northwest corner, the Mesa Verde Country Club was established in January 1959. It has hosted many golf events. It has hosted the Orange County Opens as well as numerous PGA Tour events. The Toshiba Seniors Classic was once held at the course. The course has been home to famous golfers like Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, and Chi-Chi Rodriguez.
